Interestingly, the overlap between mRNAs up-regulated in Mir34a -deficient adenomas and tumoroids, though limited, was statistically highly significant, and among the 23 mRNAs significantly up-regulated in both Mir34a -deficient adenomas and tumoroids were three factors involved in Wnt signaling ( Dkk2 , Fzd10 and Wnt10a ) (Fig. 6 E), suggesting that the tumor cell-autonomous repression of Wnt signaling by miR-34a may be a critical mechanism of miR-34a mediated tumor suppression, as reported previously 51 , 52 .
