Cardiovascular medication seems to promote recovery of autonomic dysfunction after stroke.

The mechanically mediated BPsys-HF powers of patients (5.6 ± 5.8 mmHg 2 ) initially also were significantly higher than in controls (1.8 ± 2.0 mmHg 2 , P < 0.001, Table 3 ), but had significantly decreased after 3 months (4.4 ± 5.2 mmHg 2 , P = 0.006) while the reduction after 6 months was not quite significant (4.9 ± 8.0 mmHg 2 , P = 0.053), and 3- and 6-month BPsys-HF powers were still significantly higher than in controls (Table 3 ).
