As it is consistent among the literature that executive function can be impaired and academic achievement can be lower in individuals with ASD, there may be a possibility that while the interaction between executive function and ASD traits was non-significant in a sample of majority neurotypical students, this relationship may be significant in individuals with a clinical diagnosis of ASD.
