In contrast, changes in Ni concentrations between sampling campaigns are not consistent between catchments, with a decreasing trend observed for road catchment sediments (at a significant level for the < 63 μm, 250–500 μm and 1–2-mm sediment fractions) and an increasing trend for housing catchment sediments (significant increase for the 63–125-μm sediment fraction).
