Potential underdiagnosis of EoE is also supported by the documentation of a 10‐year diagnostic delay not showing a decreasing trend in the North Denmark Region. 10 Besides increasing recognition of EoE from clinicians, reasons for the increase are still largely unknown and several research projects are investigating the topic.
