Analysis of the subgroups of women receiving lower doses of ibuprofen (400 mg twice a day) vs higher dose (400 mg 3 times a day) reveled a nonsignificant trend toward greater reduction in testosterone level in those receiving the lower dose of the medication (–0.25 ± 0.09 ng/mL; 29 ± 10%) vs the higher dose (–0.10 ± 0.07 ng/mL; 15 ± 10.0%) ( P = .17).
