Parasympathetic activity is not taken into account in the Framingham study as only diurnal measurement were performed, a time where the parasympathetic activity is spontaneously rather low and so variations in parasympathetic activity cannot be measured easily and if measured will be hardly significant ( Tsuji et al., 1994 , 1996 ).
