Monitoring of PPE compliance based on covert observations There was a highly significant association with sub-optimal adherence to doffing, hand hygiene and order of doffing on Ward 2 (55% and 64% of the time, respectively) compared to four adult-designated COVID-19 wards (78% and 89%, respectively; P = 0.007; N = 54 HCW-unaware audits) in the three-month period prior to the outbreak.
