If the result of a DPT with the culprit NSAID is negative, it is highly significant; as the negative predictive value of DPT was reported as 100% and 96.3% in the pediatric population (100% for paracetamol, 94% for ibuprofen), whereas it was reported as 96.4% in adults. 136 , 138 , 139 Aspirin is a strong COX-I inhibitor and has been frequently used in current studies to assess cross-intolerance among children and adolescents with actual NSAID-H.
