Although serum concentrations of PFOA and PFOS appear to have a decreasing trend in the US and Norway [ 24 ], more than half of the general population still have PFOA and PFOS concentrations higher than the acceptable guideline values of Germany (PFOA < 2 ng/mL and PFOS < 5 ng/mL) [ 25 ].
