After adjusting for covariates, a multivariate analysis only identified an association of breakthrough infection with race (self-identifying as Black/African American versus White/Caucasian (OR = 5.5, 95% CI = 1.6 to 18.4, P = 0.006), and a marginally significant association with increased age (OR = 1.03, 95% CI = 1 to 1.06, P = 0.078).
