There was a slight trend toward a decreased proportion of homozygous C allele carriers among recipients with BKV-associated nephropathy due to BK viremia (3 of 30 patients (10%)) than among recipients without BKV-associated nephropathy (14 of 71 patients (20%); p = 0.23; Table 5 ), although the difference was not statistically significant.
