Given the large fraction of eQTLs that are excluded at these high thresholds (94.6% and 95.3%), the large fraction of genes excluded (70.5% and 73.8%), and especially the marginally significant p-values (0.038 and 0.026) obtained at these two thresholds, we conclude that there is, at best, limited evidence from the sign test for lineage-specific selection on overall mRNA transcript abundance in the BY / RM cross.
