We emphasize that by taking advantage of the benefits of the MPSA concept, here we have detailed a first demonstration that this concept can provide the basic microdrive functionality of moving a practically significant number of probes to obtain high-quality signals with chronic implant durability, while also providing unique probe versatility, scalability, and remote control.
