More KOH promoted more corncob to be pyrolysed and to react, so more developed pores were formed, but too much KOH overreacted the corncob, etched the formed pores and collapsed the formed framework, 29,38 so the adsorption capacity displayed an increasing trend first and then a decreasing trend.
