After the adjustment for all confounders that in the previous models were almost significantly associated with the risk of mortality, in the group with ABI ≥ 0.9 the PHEA greater by 1 score was associated with 7% greater risk of death (RHR 1.07 [1.00–1.14], p = 0.05).
