However, despite such an effort, the number of accidents and diseases has not substantially diminished: for example, data reported by Eurostat show that although a decreasing trend can be observed, considering both accidents and diseases in the EU Member States in the period 2013–2019 at a general level [ 4 , 5 ], it should be noted that: a considerable number of accidents related to the use of work equipment and machinery can still be observed; diseases classified in the musculoskeletal disorders category showed no decrease in the period 2013–2019.
