The ultimate pile side friction resistance of rough jacked pile in the normally consolidated saturated silt foundation and that of smooth jacked pile in the over-consolidated saturated silt foundation always maintain an increasing trend within the resting phase of 10 days (the longest resting phase in this test is 10 days), the ultimate pile side friction resistance of pile at the resting phase of 10 days increased by 101% and 56%, respectively, compared with that of pile sinking.
