In the first dose range trial (0, 20, 50 and 100 Gy), radiation dose ( F 1,87 = 11.33, P = 0.001, η 2 = 0.11 [0.03–0.22]) significantly impacted the number of eggs laid by females, while atmospheric conditions ( F 1,87 = 3.63, P = 0.059, η 2 = 0.04 [0.00–0.12]) of treated males had only a marginally significant impact on the number of eggs laid by females (Fig. 4 A).
