In Fukushima Prefecture, mental disorders showed an increasing trend in 2011–2012 for both age and sex groups, followed by a decreasing trend. 3.2 Age-adjusted prevalence before and after the Fukushima disaster Table 1 shows the ratios of the age-adjusted prevalence of NCDs in the 0–74 years group in the whole of Japan; Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures; and Hamadori, Nakadori, and Aizu regions before and after the Fukushima disaster.
