Thus, the present proteomic findings clearly provide some new insight into the biology of this fascinating and highly significant parasitic mite, enhance the value of existing genomic and transcriptomic data sets, and might assist the future discovery of new acaricides against this and related mites, and the study of their modes/mechanisms of action.
