LoVo cells cultivated only on a Millipore filter with 5 μm pore size, which does not allow the cells to pass through, showed different phenotypes and behavior at SEM: LoVo-R cells, developing filopodia and assuming a migrating concave conic or funnel shape, exhibited an evident trend to invade and cross the filter pores when compared to LoVo-S cells.
