In two different randomized clinical trials, an LUS-guided strategy for dry weight assessment reported conflicting results: the first showed a marginal (almost significant) decrease in the percentage of patients experiencing one or more IDH episodes (34.3% vs. 55.6%, p = 0.072), while the other showed a 26% higher relative risk of intradialytic cramps (HR 1.26) [ 23 , 26 ].
