In burns, α-SMA expression was highly significantly increased in the normoxia group at 13 d, while the hypoxic group showed a negligible increase, and the reoxygenation group also showed an increasing trend ( Figure 9 H), indicating that long-term hypoxia could inhibit angiogenesis at the wound, while reoxygenation could effectively increase angiogenesis and promote wound healing.
