Although a study of 313 patients with Rotterdam-defined PCOS found an OV of >10 mL to be associated with higher fasting glucose levels and elevated HOMA-IR scores ( 7 ), our study did not demonstrate a difference in the fasting glucose levels between those women being evaluated for androgen excess with an OV of >10 or ≤10 mL and observed a nonsignificant trend toward elevated HOMA-IR scores.
