In general, the most frequent route of tumor cell challenge is subcutaneous injection, although this has the major limitation of not being able to fully recapitulate the tumor microenvironment, which is a highly significant factor in tumor growth, progression and mainly for chemoresistance in OSA [ 20 , 23 , 24 ].
