Our final pooled SMD estimates for depression assessing change over time in independent samples without comparators found highly significant reductions in depression scores for all three time point comparisons: pre‐diet to mid‐diet; pre‐diet to post‐diet; and pre‐diet to follow‐up, with 192, 754, and 535 participants from 6, 22, and 17 independent samples, respectively (Table 3A ).
