With regard to the reference experiment, this means that, even if these reactions occur to a low extent during the sorption stage, the effect of the H 2 formed on the purity of the outlet stream may be significant, which explains the considerable outlet flow rate of H 2 during the sorption stages (cf. blue line in S stages in Figure 3 ).
