25 The serious underlying disease, long-term use of antibiotics, immune status alteration, use of invasive devices and prolonged hospitalization are all extremely significant risk factors for CRE infection. 26–28 Of the 37 patients in our study, the numbers of subjects who treated with antibiotics >7 days and who used invasive devices including catheter, ventilator, tracheotomy, and intravascular catheter were 73.0%, 76.9%, 66.7%, 32.4% and 56.4%, respectively.
