3 There is an increasing trend in the incidence of traffic injuries in Nepal in the past decade (2009-10 to 2019-20) with at least 15,554 cases reported in 2019 alone. 4 In 2017, Nepal witnessed a total of 3,394 deaths related to transportation injuries out of 16,831 deaths related to injuries. 5 The most commonly affected population in road-traffic accidents are the youth which will not only hamper the quality of life but also the economic growth of the country. 6 Strategic action plans and awareness among the youths would see a decline in the number of traffic-related accidents.
