A study performed in India concluded that adenocarcinoma is the most common central tumor and also the most common histological subtype [ 18 ]; they attributed the findings to an increasing trend of bronchogenic carcinoma in females and nonsmokers and an additional reason being the inclusion of large cell carcinoma under the subtype of adenocarcinoma.
