Correcting for self‐perceived severe periodontitis slightly reduced the odds, but diagnosis of UC (OR 2.15, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.73–2.67) and CD (OR 2.74, 95% CI 2.20–3.41) remained highly significant and increased the odds to perceive a fair or poor state of the overall health of teeth and gums.
