Taking the first year of the study period as the base period, comparing the differences in the changes of elderly-care institutions in urban and rural areas, the number of elderly-care institutions, the number of employees at the end of the year, and the number of people in elderly-care institutions at the end of the year, in addition to the indicator of the average number of days in elderly-care institutions per year, showed that elderly-care institutions in urban areas were developing rapidly, while those in rural areas were in an overall trend of contraction.
