To further investigate which method(s) of hormonal and non-hormonal contraception were responsible for the trends observed in Figure 2 , we studied the trends of the top three candidates within the hormonal and non-hormonal contraception groups. The contraceptive pill—which is most discussed—showed a decreasing trend in its frequency of mention (MKtau = −0.4, p = 0.036, Figure 3(a) ).
