Functional Outcomes On univariable analysis, 2 of 14 covariates investigated were found to be statistically significantly associated with final vision ( Table 2 ), including hypertension, which appeared to have a protective association with borderline significance (median, 73.0%; IQR, 42.1%-83.0%; P = .04) and presenting vision, where eyes with higher preoperative VA achieved a higher final VA postoperatively (0.62 logMAR worse final vision; 95% CI, 0.39-0.84 per 1.0 logMAR worse VA at baseline; P < .001) ( Figure 3 ).
