The predictability analysis for rock piles using the binomial-probability test was marginally significant, yielding a p -value of 0.08, indicating that there were a sufficient number of rock-pile fields included in the analysis to construct a reliable rock-pile model to determine the potential extent of this dryland-farming system in Arizona and adjacent areas in Sonora ( Fig 2A ).
