In this study, we constructed a metabolic set of the identified differential metabolites, and used KEGG enrichment analysis to clarify that interaction between the microorganisms on the surface of Italian ryegrass and the chemical components of Italian ryegrass in three regions had extremely significant effects on biosynthesis of other secondary metabolites (isoquinoline alkaloid biosynthesis, betalain biosynthesis), amino acid metabolism (alanine, aspartate and glutamate metabolism, tyrosine metabolism, tryptophan metabolism), carbohydrate metabolism (glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism, citrate cycle, amino sugar and nucleotide sugar metabolism), membrane transport (ABC transporters), nucleotide metabolism (pyrimidine metabolism) and energy metabolism (nitrogen metabolism).
