Regarding prevalence of acne as a function of age, studies show the highest incidence in teenagers or young adults 30 and a decreasing trend with increasing age. 31 , 32 A recent study has been conducted in the Indonesian population with the aim to delineate acne vulgaris clinical profile. 33 In terms of prevalence, the highest was among female patients aged 20–24 Y (39%), followed by age group 15–19 Y (32.3%).
