The effects of Eip75B knockdown on egg-laying rate and egg volume were more consistent, with a significant reduction in both egg-laying rate and egg volume for constructs E01, E03, and E44 (a reduction of the total number of eggs laid per female of 27.1%, 23.2%, and 57.7%, respectively; and a reduction in egg volume of up to 6.6%, 28.8%, and 23.4%, respectively), and a weak trend for construct E10 ( fig. 1 B and 1 C ).
