According to a previous study on historical trends of PAHs in sediments (Feng et al., 2019 ), the proportion of two–three-ring PAHs in sediments showed a decreasing trend from 1912 to 2007, ranging from 70 to 40%, four-ring PAHs were relatively stable, while five–six-ring PAHs showed an increasing trend year by year, rising from 10 to 40%.
