They found higher fasting blood levels of glucose to be associated with rapid gastric emptying and shorter T 1/2 ( r = −0.46; P = 0.01).[ 21 ] There was a decreasing trend in mean T1/2 among the groups with increasing FBS levels on the day of scan, although with no statistical significance ( P = 0.31).
