Compared to the pre-pandemic period, partially significant increases in the prevalence of general psychopathological symptoms [ 24–27 , 44 ] as well as of depressive symptoms [ 24–29 , 38 , 48 ] and of anxiety disorder symptoms [ 24–27 ] were reported for the initial phase of the pandemic from the studies of type A and B.
