In fact, the malaria cases in Cambodia in recent years (including the study duration of this work, i.e., from January 2018 to March 2021) obviously demonstrated a decreasing trend, which should be attributed to the effective intervention strategies, e.g., the establishment of village malaria workers (VMWs) for active diagnosis and treatment ( Ministry of Health Kingdom of Cambodia, 2021 ).
