It is the third most common gynecological malignancy worldwide [ 1 ], and although there was a decreasing trend in the incidence and mortality rates of ovarian cancer globally between 1980 and 2018, a substantial increase in the incidence of ovarian cancer was observed in younger females [ 3 ] and accounted for over 70% of deaths among patients with ovarian carcinoma [ 4 ].
