This is an extremely significant finding, as it points at the fact that higher negative emotions may, up to a point, lead to higher compliance; however, the literature shows that beyond this point, these negative emotions may harm the nurses’ physical and emotional health, leading to burnout, missing work, and/or avoidance behavior [ 9 ].
