At hyperglycemia (20 mM glucose) we observed a significant increase in total area covered by lipid droplets ( Figure 2 G) and number of lipid droplets ( Figure 2 H); we also saw an increasing trend in lipid droplet size ( Figure 2 I), though not statistically significant.
