Compared with that in the lowest quintile of dietary fiber intake, the risk of stroke mortality was significantly lower in the highest quintile of dietary fiber intake in women (HR: 0.61, 95% CI: 0.38–0.98, P for trend=0.046), whereas this association was marginally significant in men ( P for trend=0.098).
