While most of these relationships were non-significant ( S6 Fig ), there was a highly significant, positive relationship between parrotfish biomass and cover of live coral (r 2 = 0.25, p < 0.001; Fig 7 ).
Excerpts
The δ 13 C cor values showed a decreasing trend with increasing forest cover ( P < 0.001) ( Table 2 , Fig 3a ).
In addition, examination of prostate cell lines showed a highly significant difference in PIM1 expression between the tERG positive and negative cell lines (p<0.001) ( Fig. 2B ).
A two-way ANOVA showed highly significant differences ( p < 0.001) in enzyme activities for the factors, cultivar, years, and the interaction between cultivar and year.
The difference in APTT prolongation between the Plasmodium-infected and healthy control was highly significant (p ≤ 0.001).
The linear component of the non-linear spline was highly significant in patients with normal CRP concentrations (p<0.001).
pubescens showed a very highly significant ( Table 1 , ANOVA test, P <0.001) reduction in vessel lumen size between the control ring and the injury ring, ranging from 42 to 64% for lumen area and from 20 to 39% for lumen diameter.
(±145 SD) of young (open canopy) plantations; a difference which is highly significant (t = -826.5372, p ≤ 0.001).
In contrast, species differences in the proportion of aphids that fell from the host plant as a result of chill coma were highly significant (χ 2 2 = 20.80 p<0.001), with significantly more M. dirhodum falling from the plant as a result of chill coma, and significantly less R. padi than expected (relative proportions for M. dirhodum , R. padi and S. avenae are 0.45, 0.02 and 0.21 respectively).
No significant relationship was found between knowledge score and practice, but a highly significant association was found between fear scores and adhering to the health advisory and between fear scores and reporting mask-wearing (p < .001).
The term for lantana density in a given cell was found to be highly significant (Likelihood Ratio Test, LR statistic = 52.96, P <0.001), indicating that lantana density in the previous time step was an important predictor of lantana density in the next time step.
The dropping of Vra1 or Vra2 showed a highly significant reduction of the additive LOD (p<0.001 with F statistics).
Fish exhibited fewer tandem repeats per CR on average (0.52) than tetrapods (1.22), and this difference was highly significant (Kruskal–Wallis, p < 0.001; Dunn’s test, p < 0.0001).
Since the effect of TL was always highly significant (p < 0.001), though, such caveat should be less likely to influence the interpretation of this variable.
In addition, there was a highly significant (p < 0.001) difference between NFT and FT regarding referrals by our hospital: in the NFT group, only 16.8% came upon our referral; 83.2% had other referral sources.
Highly significant differences ( P <0.001) were found between gender and groups, but not for the interaction effect (gender × group; P >0.05) ( Table 1 ).
This association is highly significant (p-value < 0.001).
Crucially, however, when adding the dummy variable (with D = 1 if the observation was a response to a non-symbolic stimulus, and D = 0 if it was a response to a symbolic stimulus) the weight of the dummy x logarithmic interaction was highly significant ( B D x log = 0.029, st. error = 0.006, t ratio = 4.727, df = 22, p < 0.001), confirming that significant differences in logarithmic compression do exist between fast responses to non-symbolic and symbolic stimuli.
Warming by 4°C resulted in a highly significant reduction in CI from 4.1±0.19 to 2.9±0.17 in mussels held at ambient pH (p<0.001).
Another result to highlight is the highly significant difference between cases and controls regarding the mean number of risk alleles at the 14 selected adenoma susceptibility loci (p<0.001).
The difference is highly significant (Mann-Whitney test: p<0.001).
A GLMM ANOVA with fixed factor frequency (0.75, 1.0, 1.25, 2.0, 2.4, 2.67, and 2.9 kHz) and subject included as random factor detected a highly significant influence of frequency on ITD thresholds (F(6,27) = 6.290, p<0 . 001 ).
The correlation between weight and seed number was positive and highly significant ( r (18) = 0.868, p = 0.001; Fig 2 ).
The brake was further evaluated in more complex models comparing models without the brake (models 3–4, table 2 ) to models with the brake (models 5–6, table 2 ) suggesting increased fit and a highly significant deviance in favor of the “brake” function comparing the best fitted models (6d & 4d) (chi2 = 67, df≈2, p<.001).
These findings were corroborated by the highly significant positive Pearson correlation coefficients of the methylation levels of these markers ( r = 0.45–0.82; P < 0.001; Table H in S1 File ).
