It is worth noting that as a general principle, pressure swing adsorption process has some preference than other cyclic adsorption processes regarding its simplicity, flexibility, and low energy consumption, especially when the concentration of removed component is quite significant, which contributes to a balance between the time of adsorption and desorption steps (Ho et al. 2008 ; Grande 2012 ).
