Around a threefold increase in the risk of long COVID was associated with moderate (adjusted OR=3.1, 95% CI=1.2, 8.3) or severe/critical (adjusted OR=2.7, 95% CI=1.0, 7.6) illness compared with that associated with mild illness at presentation, although the association with severe/critical presentation did not reach statistical significance ( p =0.052).
